  17. I have a related video on YouTube about 1950s independent television set dealers that are still in business entitled, „TV MAN: THE SEARCH FOR THE LAST INDEPENDENT DEALER,“ that might be of interest.

  18. @Greg78X said
“ One of the worst, miss managed companies ever. I went to there everything is 50% off
Going out of business sale and the items marked down where still more then any other store even at %50 off. “

Now that’s some funny ass shit!!

  19. LOL

  20. First K.B. Toys, then Circuit City, that’s two big businesses we lost in the recession. I personally think General Motors is next.

  21. i still cant believe it. i hope best buy never goes out or i am doomed.

  22. and ccitys ceo that took 30 mill from the company to stand down…

  23. Agreed

  24. Circuit City’s sister company in Canada known as „The Source“ may be able to help you out if you can travel up there. Find a store you can travel to and try to talk to a store manager and see if they can negotiate a deal for the value of the card. One of their stores in Ontario worked out a deal for me with a gift card I had.

  25. walmart is a peice of shit im boycotting walmat

  28. I still own a funai hi fi Vcr I bought with my first paychecks back in 1996 for $100 ,

  29. My fave Circuit City was in Rego Park, Queens. The last thing I bought was in the Going out of Buissnes Sale. I got a Walkman and some DVDs
    RIP Curcuit City

  31. Its amazing to see, in these commercials, how technology advances in such a short time. ps,
RIP Circuit City Gurnee, IL. Dec 2008. I Worked there from June 2006-closing in Dec 2008. Good Times (gurnee Mills Mall.) :(

  32. R.I.P circuit city

  33. @JaredvaldezTV fuckin lier.

  34. I went to 3 stores during their closing sales and got more stuff than everything I ever bought in the past at Circuit City, but afterward I felt like I was ripping off a good friend or kicking someone already on the ground, it was a strange feeling.

  35. @Gamebox27
Oh yeah I heard about Hills they’re right next door to Borders & Anchors Blue!!

  36. @AngeLBarraganJR and Hills department store

  37. THEY ARE REOPENING THERE DOORS ON JUNE/16/2011

  38. RIP my favorite store in Rego Park, NY
You know, after a while that „where service is a state of the art“ anthem gets awfully annoying hearing it repeatedly. I might have to get home and listen to a couple of songs in the last item I bought at Circuit City to take that song off my system.
Thanks goodness they got rid of that guy making the voice over in 1986 and 1987 I was falling asleep. Sorry guy if you are reading this lol.

  39. Last thing I purchased there was a headset that blocked the outside noise. It was one of those big headphones that practically cover your entire ears like ear muffs.

  40. @jcnsri How old were you when you got the Walkman?

  41. Wow, those commercials bring back memories. I miss that flying plug at the end of their commercials.

  42. @LiquidWaffle Yup too bad computers have only improved slightly since then, lol

  43. The technology is sooooo old but that was technology back then

  44. @sellbotvpmaster99 Systemax, a computer hardware company whose secondary business includes buying defunct retail companies began negotiating to purchase the web domain from the trademark’s owners and relaunch it as an online store. The sale was completed on May 19, 2009. that’s why it’s still up but the stores dont exist no more =(

  45. 1 person forgot to integrate his circuits at circuit city and missed the „like“ button

  46. The Circuit City management were a bunch of crooks. They were in debt in millions of dollars to major electronics companies yet its executives were paying themselves nice salaries. Over 1500 idiots were working in the corporate headquarters alone. They should’ve gone out of business earlier. And Best Buy should’ve been shut down even before Circuit City. Best Buy is and was the worst retailer that ever existed in America since the dawn of dinosaurs.

  47. @RocketFast321 No. Systemax bought the trademarks and rights after the company closed, and the site relaunched under the same name.

  48. I didn’t know Howard Finkel did circuit city commercials. lol.

  49. @RocketFast321 hmm interesting they shouldve shut down the site too between you and me

  50. @sellbotvpmaster99 looks like online sales only.
