iMac G3 Bondi Blue
This is an old iMac G3 Bondi Blue from 1998 that I picked up off the side of the road. I’m not really sure what to do with it yet, but it is in great working condition (except for CD-ROM cover), and I even had it connected to the internet. The specs are: -PowerPC 750 @ 233 MHz -128 MB RAM -Mac OS 9.2.1 -5 GB Hard Drive -Tray Loading CD-ROM drive
Video Rating: 4 / 5

@halomasterchief14 I have one with Ethernet but it dosen’t work.
I want one of these computers. This computer was revolutionary.
@TommyA1912 Yup, you’d be surprised at some of the things I’ve found at yard sales and on the road. To most people though, this would really be junk.
WOW! on the road?
Lucky
@bicyclemaster I think the connection options are somewhere in the Apple menu, have you looked in the Control Panels?
I have one, and it has an Ethernet slot and phone, I have the Ethernet plugged in, and idk how to connect it to the Internet.. Somebody please help-.-
I used to have two of these, great machines. haha.
wish i could find one in the side of the road!!!
I found one in great condition, trouble was, no ethernet port, just telephone…
@PS3DUDE290 I have the same problem with my Powermac G3. Somebody told me though that in order to fix it I need to reset the PRAM (by pusing this little this little button on the logic board). I haven’t done it yet though.
i have the same one but the dock is in the middle of the screen how can i fix it
They say if you really want to speed this up (if you are VERY good with these old tray loading moddels) is to buy a G4 Processor and switch it with the G3. Or you can just upgrade the ram to its max (512MB) and vRam to 8MB (I believe)
OT: Need mac Help? Youtube mail me! I am an expert with the old iMac G3 to the new and the old iBook clamshell to the G4!
*And by Mac I meant iMac.
It does run a lot faster than my PowerMac, but it still doesn’t run that fast, considering this is also one of the earlier Mac models.
Hah, literally on the side of the road? Lucky. ;[
How does OS 9.2 run on these, anyway? I recently grabbed a Power Mac G4 (1.25ghz DP), and from what I’m hearing, OS 9 is BLAZING fast on those. I remember things being pretty responsive with 9.0.4 on these, though.
we still use imac g3 at our school but they have mac os 8.6
Yeah, and at one time they really were extremely popular. My 4th grade class used to have one. I still see them around periodically in offices, but they probably aren’t used very often. I really like how they are so internet ready though.
