100 Strangers Project
Yerevan – Armenia
I don’t know his name as we did not speak the same language. But he was totally happy that I took his photo as you can see. In some countries people are so happy to see strangers. The are even proud that they get photographed. For me the experience of shooting in Yerevan is excellent as people are curious about the camera, don’t understand why you shoot their portrait and are a bit shy, but very proud when you do so.

4/100 – John Brown – My last subject of the day, and by far the most interesting. John is originally from Roanoke, VA and moved to Baltimore years back for work. Unfortunately he lost his job downtown and has been homeless ever since. He was surprisingly upbeat given his situation, and the guy loved riddles. Told me a few good ones while we were talking. I must’ve spent half an hour talking to John, but his attitude made it a pleasure. His last riddle was quite clever, he asked "what’s the greatest nation on Earth?" Well, I wish I could tell you that I immediately gave him the right answer, but I couldn’t figure it out. "A Donation" was the correct answer. I smiled, told him how clever it was, and gave up the last few dollars that I had.

100/365: „100 bottles of beer on the wall…“
Day 100: Today is my 100th shot, and to celebrate I thought I’d get a shot of 100 bottles of beer on the wall. Have a drink with me! It’s a celebration!
*dances*
P.S. No, I don’t have a hundred bottles of beer. I only have five. And too much time. From one photographer to another, never, ever try to combine 20 photographs for a clone shot.
P.P.S. I had to do this in the street in order to find a wall long enough. Humiliation is hereby a required part of any 100th shots.
