SLOW REPLAY: www.youtube.com I hit a buck (had 2+ in. antlers) on my 04 GSXR 1000, which is the best looking year, on June 28, 2009. I did not crash, but the bike was totaled. It literally jumped right in front of me (about 10 feet at most) and I had no time to react! While editing this vid, the deer was only on cam for 6 frames which is 6/30 or 1/5 of a sec! I think the momentum from accelerating out of the corner is what saved me, along with the fact that I hit it while it was still in mid-air. There were many factors that kept me on 2 wheels and I can’t say whether I was lucky because I didn’t die or unlucky it even happened. Not only did I not crash, but there was no car coming the other way to kill me when I crossed over. I rode it for another 45 mins until I had to shut it off to prevent engine damage because the radiator was busted. It was also amazing that none of the riders following closely behind me hit the unpredictable, spinning deer! I survived with not a scratch. The deer was still in mid air as it’s neck/shoulder was sliced by my right fork and brake rotor. Then it busted my frame slider all the way back, brushed my knee (leaving fur in the velcro), and flung off the exhaust, when it made like a top and spun to the other side of the road, leaving a blood trail over 50 ft. thats your interpretation and u r entitled to it. what I think is kunti ma begged for the lives of pandavas. From that point of view it is clear that Karan Was the mightiest of all. And of course u cant deny the fact that Karan was the greater archer than arjun. It was Lord shri Krishna’s will that he (Lord Krishna) did not wanted Karan to enter the battlefield because he feared death for arjun and the circumstances happened so bhisma did not want karan under his commandership.
@loveyrocks not true, he could not save the Kaurava brothers from Bhima during the 14th day, although he eventually defeated Bhima that day, the victory was not exactly complete, Bhima had single handedly wreaked havoc deep in Kaurava territory, despite Drona, Karna, Kritvarma and others trying their utmost, although I agree that Bhima and Karna and Drona were the most consummate warriors during the war, capable in using ALL weapons
@mkgrpd lessee, hmm… Jayadratha had kept his weapons down and was not looking (read the book, the serial does take poetic license), also wasn’t the Bhishma put down unfairly before the killing of Abhimanyu, during this day Bhurishravas was also put down unfairly, even Bhagdatta killing is kinda sketchy
I am not trying to go for any particular side here, but do not measure the beauty of our epics by tiny morality plays, this tale is far, far greater than that, it is about Dharma, not morality

@ilya2222 kbb on it was a little over 4. they do trade in not retail. on top of everything u said, needed full fairings- both sides were cracked from impact. only the tail was fine. the radiator and fan were mangled. brake rotor bent, signals gone, and sliders bent, and yes headers were slightly damaged so they were written off as needing to be replaced at oem value which is over 1k… all adding up to well over 4.
@termites4000 I don’t know about needing new headers, but from what i saw looked like:
side fairing, upper, headlight and fairing stay. Stock muffler as well. Looks like about a $1800 insurance repair quote, that’s about $1100 in you’re UK funny money.
2 years ago this bike was worth about $6200, so a 37% repair cost.
Only reason they would total it otherwise is if the frame got a dent/crack/scratch.

@ilya2222 watch the 2nd video for pics then cuz it was totaled and my bike is salvage now and i havent stopped riding it. this happened 3 years ago now and when i say its totaled it’s a fact. right off the bat how much do u think a full exhaust is oem? its well over 2k. the headers were damaged from the radiator hitting it so hard.
as for not agreeing with me on the looks, have u ever owned one? ive owned a 00 gsxr and my dad had a 05 so i can say with experience that they are the best
@termites4000 Totaled is if the total cost of repairs (parts and labor) equals or is greater then X%(factor depends on you’re insurer) of the vehicle’s total value.
I really don’t think you’re bike was totaled, and i don’t think the 04 Gixxer to be the best looking.

@IXKillfullXI u are missing a few factors. i was leaning over a lot in the direction it came from. what if it jumped out from the other side of the road? also i hit him while he was still in mid air. OR if i didnt have my Vortex frame sliders, it would have probly ripped my leg off or shattered every bone in it, ripping me off the bike and ending very badly…
You survived, because of the momentum of your wheels. Because they are spinning so fast, they act like a huge gyroscope. If you’d have hit the deer head on, obviously this would have been a lot worse. The deer hit you from the side, so they gyroscopic effect of both your wheels turning kept you upright. Hence why you were more ‘pushed’ to the side than flipped over the handle bars
