The AP reports that Time Warner Cable customers will now get full access to the sports website ESPN3.com, even if they are not subscribers of Time Warner Cable’s Internet service — this according to a deal struck with The Walt Disney Co. The report outlines the deal, which allows Time Warner video subscribers and Bright House Networks video subscribers access to ESPN3.com without incurring an additional charge for services. ESPN3.com offers an array of game videos and most recently carried live World Cup matches. The AP reports that approximately 7.4 million people tuned in to ESPN3.com at some point during the tournament. Time Warner Cable and Bright House had been long time holdouts on ESPN3.com due to disagreements on fee bundling.

You’re doing that all wrong! The popup box that came up is where you needed to allow remote access. If you don’t do that, you can’t view stuff when you are away…
TIME WARNER CABLE ranked as one of the most hated companies in the U.S.
Time Warner has been a public relations disaster for at least a decade. Blunders include usage caps, fees increasing each year faster than inflation and fraudulent business acts and bad services. In June 2011, a lawsuit was filed against Time Warner for refusing to make closed captioning available on CNN’s online videos after being notified by disgrunted consumers. Recently it also aired pornography on children’s channels.
