Video Rating: 3 / 5
Does Librivox really make such ridiculous decisions as to have an American voice this quintessentially British prose? Thank god I didn’t pay for this. The guy’s fine, only not for this…at all.
Terrible, I lasted ten seconds.
Yikes. Read by an American voice-recognition robot. Nasty.
PG Wodehouse read in an American accent just sounds….. wrong.
@ccdavid1 You are absolutely correct. We were aware of the reader’s error. Our audio comes from Libirvox and this was the only version available. As painful as it is, we feel the book still has merit and should be included. If another version becomes available (hopefully with an English accent) we will gladly and quickly swap it.
How in the world did Mark Nelson/CCProse miss the memo about how to pronounce the author’s name? Shaaaame.
Oh BTW it’s WOODhouse as most fans and admirers know. Go back and fix it.
@KremlinH
I prefer the english accent ones too. I got them from torrent sites.. I absolutely loved psmith journalist. also this one is a dad mechanical.
Good lord, that American voice is so not Bertie Wooster. Most awful.
Again, you are great!
F.Y.I.: I am reading along.
