Kanye West Leads 2012 Grammy Nominations Announced
The 2012 Grammy nominations were announced last night and Kanye West leads the pack with a whopping 7 nominations. Coming in second place with 6 nominations each are Adele, Foo Fighters and HYPERLINK „www.hollyscoop.com Mars. Adele and Bruno Mars are both nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance, along with Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Pink. Other nominee highlights include Chris Brown’s nominations for Best R&B album. Kings of Leon, the Foo Fighters, Jeff Beck, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Wilco will all go up against each other for Best Rock Album. Hollyscoop was in the press room after the nominations were announced where Bruno Mars joked, „Well, it proves that I’m the greatest right?“ He then added, „It means–I’m about to get real cheesy, get ready—it means that hard work pays off.“ Now what would be realllllly funny is if someone comes on stage and interrupts him while he is trying to make a speech after winning an award.
