How to make Moules Frites. Step 1.
For 2-3 persons, buy two pounds of fresh mussels, some spring onions, a root of fennel, a head of garlic and – to spice up the dish – one fresh habanero pepper or a couple of jalapenos. I also about 50 g of butter. For cooking, one can either use white wine or a flavorful Belgian beer (I went for the latter since this is a Belgian dish).

For 2-3 personer, kjøp 1 kg blåskjell, en bunt vårløk, en rot fennikel, et hode fersk hvitløk og for å få litt spiss på retten gjerne en fersk habanero eller et par jalapenos. Jeg hadde også i rundt 50g smør. For selve kokingen kan man enten bruke hvitvin eller belgisk øl (jeg valgte det siste siden dette er en belgisk rett).
