„Inception Sledge“ Pt 3 by Nutnfancy (The Mini-14)
It might be the best run ever in the Sledgehammer tactical shooting course. The carbine is the Rock River Arms Elite Operator2 paired with a Sig 1911 Nitron Rail. It goes cleanly and I connect with a record 10 out of 10 times at 200 yards after a short run. With only 1 miss on the pistol stage, it’s an A+ run. I find both guns pure pleasure to shoot and the hits come almost magically to me with the RRA AR-15. It has a perfect trigger, great reliability, and outstanding accuracty. Outfitted with the Burris Fullfield II 3×9 tactical scope, it’s ready for this course. The Sig 1911, back from service from Sig runs well too (but still has one failure to go into battery after a HARD mag insertion). Also into the mix comes the mostly good CZ P-07 .40, shot by myself and the PFIs. We like it and find the trigger and accuracy excellent. It too has experienced failures to go into battery with certain ammo. Maybe something hotter would prevent that. But it’s light and fast into action. A highlight of Part 3 will be PFIDad’s and my testing of the new Tapco Gen 2 magazines. I get the NRA Mini-14 hot as we send hundreds of rounds downrange in this testing. It passes with excellence. We had grounded PFIDude due to his asthma acting up but I get him back into action with the Operator2 as well and he slams the Evil Roy targets with it. And the modified Level 1 and 2 Saiga-12s also make it back in front of the camera and PFI function tests them for a special customer …

im a crew chief in minot north dakota in the usaf and ur videos keep me occupied in my off time, seriously the only thing worth watching on youtube thank u for all your hard work it is appreciated. ps i just bought my first glock 17. i used to mostly shoot bolt action 338, im from alaska anchorage so obviously the rifle of choice but im starting to train on pistol and ur videos are very helpful thanks for all u do. lewis

Love the new Mini 14s. Love the AR carbines more. I find the Mini to be a little front heavy while the AR is more balanced, at least in the DI, M-4 form.

It’s funny how the Mini has taken a beating over the years by some „experts“ yet the rifle has endured. It’s a fixture of the American gun culture these days. I haven’t owned a Mini is many years, I traded mine for „better“ stuff long ago. But you know what, it’s still a great rifle and Ruger has done a good job of keeping it current.

I have a question about the RRA PDS Carbine, is it possible to remove the folding/ hinge and just have a Mil-Spec Buffer Tube that DOES NOT FOLD, basically having a standard Buffer Tube & Stock ? I’ve searched but cannot find if anyone has done this or if it is possible, I love the looks of the RRA PSD Carbine, but just want a regular AR/M4 receiver with collapsing stock. If anyone knows I would like to know, thanks.
I have a Mini14 and wolf allways gets jammed in the gun…when i say jammed i mean it does not eject and i have to put a rod down the barrel to smash it out…now i use federal
@zoosh12345 Bro those are paracord survival bracelets. A lot of people into outdoors activities seem to wear them nowadays. No one that I know that wears one has actually used the cord, but they all like them. More for style than function, but still cool.

@dykecrusher You are correct in that Nutn is NOT an expert. He’s never claimed as such and has brought his opinions to the table with hands on research and life experiences. Something a great many people can see eye to eye with.
