Project 365 Day 25: Dark Day

25-01-10 Sigh. Where do I start? Woke up this morning ready for a new semester at Uni up bright and early. Kissed goodbye to the wife. Made a cup of coffee. Then got a call from the wife. The car wont start, again. So she calls the RAC. As she is doing this is start to clear out my bag and I find a piece of paper that reminds me I have to pay my tuition fees in 6 days. SHIT! I don’t have enough money! Now this is a problem. So I am stressing, the wife is stressing and we have a little blow up. I said some things I regret and I feel like a heel about the entire thing. Sigh. Fast forward 2 hours the car is fixed, apparently the battery was faulty although I have a feeling this wont be the last time we have a car problem.
Anyway that was me venting. What about today’s pic? There was no light today. None at all. Its been muggy and overcast all day I’ve been wandering between my flat and uni looking for a killer shot and I got nothing. So on the way home I thought I would go for the old trees against the sky shot. I gave it a custom white balance to emphasise the coldness of the day and tweaked the contrast curve to make the shadows pop. The SOOC shot is below for anyone who cares!

Images Viewed: Remember the hipstamatic iphone app I have been using? Well some clever bugger has made an image showing the results of every single setting! Take a look here. Warning HUGE IMAGE.
Other Inspiration: Back at from today. Need to start working on my dissertation. I have been reading my friends one from last year and it has helped me a lot. Thanks Chris.
