This is my invention. I have not watched any video if there is such a video showing this type of barrier. Basically if you combine the Netherstone’s ability to burn eternally without burning up, and the cactus’s ability to damage mobs when they are touched, plus several seconds of being stuck, you will get a very good barrier which 1) Points out your territory 2) Kills mobs 3) Use as lighting 4) Free resources(pigs are always stupid) I might make a tutorial how to make this barrier. But be warned, for this barrier in the video, i used 6 Flint and steel, over 300 cacti(yes my cacti farm is empty now), over 200 netherstone, over 200 sand, and a full quality diamond shovel which fully ran out of durability even before i was completely done with the barrier. Netherstone fire can burn enemies, which makes this a good idea for the primary barrier line. Behind the primary line is the secondary barrier line, which is fully covered by cacti. This barrier not only deals extra damage to mobs and make them stuck, but also stops advancement of aggressive mobs, making your home quite safe(if you put torches around the home like i did). After doing this, you need to consider making a hole which will allow you to enter your house and exit your house passing the barrier. i can always patch up the hole. I had the hole so that i wouldnt go under the tunnel, the long way.
as for the pig, is it really that harmful? epic fail.
please think before you post stupid comments or AT LEAST use common sense. anyone can patch the hole, or modify it.

@zaruyko no the fire does not have to be there. If a monster sees you they will keep running into the cacti until they kill you or it kills them.
@Awesomefishhyyy the fire makes the mobs get durational damage. If its just cacti, then the mobs can just scurry away once they touch the cactus. But with fire, they can die running.
its not really a invention… kinda common sense btw you dont need fire if the cacti are there.

Sure he can do whatever he wants with it. But to be impressed by your own (unoriginal) idea is arrogant and that caused me to post.

I am saying that it is NOT impressive, and NOT smart or clever. Perhaps it is by your low standards.
@Sparclen actually i can explain the working properties. first, my barrier does drop items from kills, unlike your ideas of a circle of lava which will just burn the claims, or a wall of slowsand, which will not kill any mobs,thus allowing a pileup of mobs outside your wall, making it much more difficult to get out safely.
and at last, who thinks in am flattering myself? just because you dont like it, doesnt mean that every single person thinks im flattering myself. troll somewhere else kid.

I had seen one on youtube before netherrack even existed. They used forever burning wood.
So you made three assumptions, which were all wrong. You gave not a single argument to eplain how this barrier IS indeed handy or clever.
You didnt, because you cant.

1. It is not clever. You are flattering yourself.
2. I did think about and decided not to use it.
3. A giant circle of lava, 2 blocks wide, would have done the same thing.
3. A wall of slowsand would have done the same thing. (creepers don’t go and blow things up by themselves, and spiders can’t climb it. Exact same properties as your wall.)
You made 2 personal assumptions without a a source, all of which Ad hominem. That I’m a girl, and that I dont know how netherack works.
