@marc170 democracy gives people that dont know the full facts an opinion. this is bad. debate is a nonsense system. arriving at fact though research is the only way to run things. no one can argue with fact. if you think the brain is better at running the world then you would put all weather forcast super computers out of business. thats what he means. they are a tool for making fact based systems for the smooth running of complex global systems. eg the weather or resorce managment.
Never give people a right to their own opinion.“ ~Jacque Fresco … I will have my right to own thinking, own opinion and no one is going to take it from me. This is freedom, not consent what should be the focus. Never follow anyone than your own line of reasoning.
@marc170 democracy allowed for corruption, in a RBE decisions are arrived at like a trial and error process. I don’t see how it could be abused so please explain your logic.
where was this filmed?…. just wondering since jacque doesn’t receive too much media attention in the US
@Uribaani Thank you for the correction about my comment. i´m totally agree with you. Now i´m following you.
Thanks again.
Is it just me or is fresco pretty damn funny?
@greenghost2008 there is no need for force because nobody will be forced to join. Once they build the first city, willing people can move in. Once others see that the idea works, more cities will be built in their own countries, and so on. There will always be people who refuse to join in, and that is okay, they will get support from TVP but any decisions they make are their own responsibility. If you build a house poorly and it collapses because you ignored our advice, sorry but we warned you.
Does Theo know how to call for a break at the right time? Let the man you are asking questions speak! Jack
@marc170 first question you may want to ask yourself is if you can imagine a world without money.
i dont like that he does not want democracy thats a bad move.. this system could easily be abused.. he doesnt trust money? and the brain is much more efficient than ANY computer,,
isnt it obvious? everyone makes their own decisions!!! self rule not mob rule.
@ignaciolalia I think you should say appreciate and understand his ideas rather than just follow them, which makes it sound like we’d have to do what he says/said.
Jacque Fresco is truly ahead of his time.
So a computer will run The Venus Project, right?
@m4raak there is no such thing as a stupid host only lack of knowledge didnt you hear what fresco said?
@JKDWill I love Jacque Fresco.
great
what stupid host…
@m4raak Right. Da Vinci was more than 200yrs ahead of his time. He even invisioned helicopters. This guy is actually like Da vinci, or the „re-incarnate“
The host was really pounding with that question about „who is in charge in the RBE“. People who believe that the evil doers will always try to achieve power positions forget that if you have a world where there is nothing to gain from being in a powerful position, then there is no incentive to become more powerful than someone else… a new economic system, a new society dictates for new values as well, don’t judge a different system on the values of the present
where facts are few ,opinions are many.
this guy is too far ahead of his time,
democracy = mob rule
go ask socrates
Jacque Fresco is our time Da Vinci.
@bathingapenightryder just because u understand it does not mean that the host get it. His job is to ask questions about the prodject the more u ask the more u know. And there are alot of people out there that don’t know a shit about TVP. And cause we are born to think we are lazy and everyone never got to learn critical thinking or how to educate yourself in the right way. Everyone don’t want to waste time reading about it. Don’t wanna be rude just say my opinion
@mukaz7 I’m not trying to be constructive, I’m just telling you that this kind of „close society“ with a „leader“ is not the answer.
I would like to make a question on a section that concerns social life on venus project,after the transition stadium.At some point of the interview Mr jacque fresco mentioned that in venus project there will not be such thing as love..love as we know it in our societies,to form of monogamous relationship,and he started his ratiocination
by comparing examples from native’s societies.although he interrupted abruptly.I would appreciate if anyone could analyze his thought
