Eiffel Tower in Paris is built with steel made in Resita.
On each piece of metal that composes the Eiffel tower says “Made in Resita – Romania” .

Thanks! It’s good to know I’m not the only one who loves the original tower. FYI, the Dutch Filmmuseum (now called EYE) has a dvd for sale of the 1927 film ‘La mystère de la Tour Eiffel’ by Julien Duvivier. It’s not only a great movie but it also shows the Tower as it was at that time with a good look at the arcades.
@Pathecomedy i agree with you 100 % about the removing of the arcades, the Eiffel Tower was much more beautiful with them.
Why did they change the first floor in the ’30′s, replacing the arcades designed by Eiffel. They have ruined the Eiffel Tower’s original design to make it look more modern. What a shame. In 2014, when the tower celebrates it’s 125th anniversary, I hope the French restore it to it’s original grandeur.
Oh, c’est tres bien, la construction de la Tour Eiffe m’intéreassait toujoursl! J’adore les videos et les photos anciens de Paris. J’était tres heureuse, car l’autre jour j’ai trouvé une application sur mon iphone de la grande exposition universelle de 1900.

Did you know? The Eiffel Tower was contructed for an Universal Show? They wanted to destroy it, but it was decided it was too beautiful to be destroyed so the Eiffel Tower still the Symbol of France.
