My new toy: A nikon D300 with a Nikkor 16-85 VR. This means that I am making the jump from Canon to Nikon. Not an easy jump as I have quite a bit of Canon stuff, So I hope I will not regret it in the long run. I have to say that the D300 is a great camera, a real joy to use. This lens is also very sharp, with a great 16mm wide angle. I would have like a longer end, but decided that I wanted a wider end more, so I went for 16-85 instead of 18-105 or 18-200.

Strobist: A Sigma 530 ST on a stand on the right of the camera, triggered by the on camera flash. The camera is in a light tent.

Crews continue building the concrete foundations for the new I-85 North and South bridges over the Yadkin River. So far, they have built 64 of the 150 concrete columns needed to support the bridges.

The temporary bridge, which runs between the two bridges and supports heavy construction equipment, and its "fingers" allow crews to work on both bridges simultaneously.
