Eurocup game between Besiktas Milangaz and Dexia Mons-Hainaut (Belgian) [first leg of two] Besiktas won the game 78-70. Deron Williams played with 15 pts-9 assists-3 steals and 2 rebounds. Though displaying a low accuracy (3/15 fg), he showed a relatively better performance compared to the pre-season games. Top scoring player of Besiktas was Marcelus Kemp with 24 pts. Also Erwin Dudley (Ersin Dağlı) made double-double (13 pts-10 reb). Semih Erden did not play. He will be sidelined for the second leg as well.

@RollOnToVictory in Turkey supporters chant all the time. They make loud meaningless boos and whistles to disrupt the away team just as US supporters. But the difference is they continue to sing and chant while the home team attacks. The only time of silence is home team free throws.
They are accustomed to chant this way from soccer stadiums, which is the most prevalent game here.
why is there chanting when the home team is on offense? in America the crowd gets loud on defense to disrupt and quiet on offense so the team can hear their coach, each other and run their plays effectively.
@tokcan8 well then I recommend you to watch the finals between boston and los angeles in 2010. You can’t tell me that there is NO defense. Watch kobe, he has become the defence player of the year for many years with reason. Why is it so often that freshman from europe get smashed in the nba? because they are not used to the toughness, to the hard defence in the nba. many blocks in the nba would be called as fouls in europe. but of course there are also some run and gun teams in the nba…

@xmuscularghandix NBA has a LOT better shooters but their shooting percentages are low because NBA has real defense. And it’s a lot harder to score in NBA.

@RSEvergrave That’s not true. It’s more competitive in Europe than it is in NCAA. They might not be NBA players but they’re still grown men and athletes. Not to mention that there a LOT of great shooters.

besiktas is a shitty team with small arena and no fans. the other teams in turkey have much better players some of them play in arenas like in the nba and it is every game sold out like fenerbahce ulker.

@BcroG11 Let’s say there are two versions of bball – FIBA and NBA. IMO, if you can’t play well in one of them you’re just not a complete basketball player, and that’s sth D-Will probably agrees or should agree with.
I’d say that the reason for his bad performances is the fact that he’s out of shape, not the fact he doesn’t give a damn. In this video, he’s playing pretty hard but just can’t outperform his defenders. Beside, euro basketball is very tough and competitive, and a bit different that the NBA. Most NBA players are not playing well thus far…
@BcroG11 Winning is nothing to D-Will in Euorpe. The only the only thing he cares about on his resume that he hasn’t accomplished is NBA Championship, not some Eurobasket bullshit. He’s playing against players in a lesser league, plus and he won’t even be playing there in a couple of months. I live in Utah and saw all of his games as a member of the Jazz, it’s obvious that he’s putting in no effort and just doesn’t care. He’s not struggling, he’s not trying.
