A bunch of commercials that aired on NBC primetime on September 7th, 1986. 1. Hi-C (Featuring a young Alyssa Milano on the right) 2. Grape Nuts Cereal (THE Yuppie cereal of choice) 3. Hanes Underwear (They don’t make commercials like this anymore!) 4. AT&T (With Cliff Robertson and Kristine Sutherland) 5. Red Lobster 6. Promo for „Smurf Quest“ (I want to watch this now, damn it!) 7. Weight Watchers (Featuring Lynn Redgrave) 8. Sticklets Gum (Hilariously awful) 9. Promo for „Going Ape“ (Starring Tony Danza, Danny DeVito and Jessica Walter! Arrested Development fans should love this) 10. Promo for „Amazing Stories“ 11. Burger King Chicken Tenders (These look more like real chicken strips than the pieces of crap they sell today) 12. Generra Clothes (God please kill me now) 13. Promo for the weather on WBZ-TV Boston (Fighting the frizzies, at eleven) 14. Duracell Batteries (Cool puppets!) 15. Hillshire Farm Sausage (Hilarious!) 16. Extra Sugar Free Gum 17. Kool Aid Koolers (What a catchy jingle!) 18. Florida Frozen Orange Juice (The freeze is the reason!) 19. Nabisco Shredded Wheat Cereal (This used to scare me as a kid, don’t ask why. Maybe it’s the deadly amount of salt and sugar deposited on the cereal) 20. „Captain EO“ (Awesome 3-D attraction at Disneyland and Epcot Center starring Michael Jackson)
Update…Robby Rosa is currently undergoing treatment in the Burzynski Clinic in Houston, Texas. Up until today, two of his three cancerous tumors have disappeared and one reduced by 80% through a natural diet.
Okay how old is ken and how old is margarita ??? lol
@ThePetes123
Not cultural. I’m black and so were my next door neighbors. My friend who was 2 years younger than me had older brothers who were like 18 and 19 who played „dad,“ even though their dad lived there in the house. They played „dad“ whenever the parents weren’t there and they were strict. I’m talking spanking and everything all at 18. I’m the oldest grandchild in my family, and at 13 I was made to be „mom“ to my younger cousins and I was allowed to punish them, etc.
GREAT FILM.. THANKS CDNPCP18 FOR SHARING THIS MOVIE,I ENJOYED IT! WONDERFUL FLASHBACK..♥
@cycy818 I think he said „piel de mierda“, talking about her makeup.
@ThePetes123 It’s not cultural, it’s about fatherless poor families, where the older brother serves that protective role towards his sister (he clearly doesn’t want her to leave school for some infantile infatuation and destroy her future).
Such stupidness but greatness all at once, like any other musical out there. This should be on Broadway if it isn’t already.
Ugh…I hated that Rico became „dad“!! is that a cultural thing..not disrespecting, but i’ve seen it and I just don’t get it.
Where are her boobs? lol
@Notababykiller I’m sure the songwriter didn’t mean it that way, but it always comes out like that in my mind too. LOL
The song lyrics @2:11 The Smell of the sea with her next to me, roflmao!
The Wilkins „Margarita“ great song from 80s when I was 16 years old. viva „salsa“ el ritmo en todo los tiempos to the end. The is no generacion para este ritmo afro-latino, caribeño-americano
My favorite part of the movie: Ken & Rita „Margarita“…. So cute!!!!!!! He was so kind…. oh God…

@AndyinMTL lol that’s the truth! and how much is that trio at Red Lobster now? 21.95? All of these bring back good times, before -gasp- computer mass media ads in your face 24/7! Thank gosh for DVRs!! Fracking car commercials my gawd.
love the weight watchers commercila at 2:43 super funny. Made me want to try it. Makes me hungry when I see meals in a box for some reason
im a ’82 baby and growing up i never thought twice at how goofy these commercials are,but now that i look them up on utube in present time..i actually have a good laugh at them. love watching other remembering the 80′s vids too(toys,cartoons, etc)
BEST DECADE EVER!!!
Going Ape…Tony Danza’s peak performance LOL
@davideyeify lol now days you cant even get a trio at mcD for that price
@marshmallowkandykid – i feel very old now. ;D
to bad I wasn’t around when these commercials were out.
@RadiantSilverlighter i’ve seen it as well and it’s just as close to getting back to 1986 without the need of a time machine that is comprised of a hot tub, along with the consumption some super strong energy drink from Russia which is outlawed anywhere else in the world.
@periechontology i was around in the 80′s.i remember eating ghostbusters cereal.
dang commercials were way better in the 80′s
omg you could eat a Red Lobster trio for $6.95!
Everybody had a jingle back in the day haha a very catchy decade indeed!
@1989hirokazu
Well Minimum wage was about $3.20 an hour. Today a DVD player is about 60 bucks, but back then there were only VCR’s which were about $300 each lol. There was no Internet and most people didn’t have Cable t.v.
Yet as you suggested, we were just far happier than people are today. There was just the sense that life was rich and had meaning, things mattered then. It was a completely different world. This is a very perceptive comment from someone not around at the time.
I completely forgot about Sticklets! What happened to those?
I was only 3 days old when this aired
For some reason I felt like I was waiting for a TV show to come back on.
everyone’s dancing when they drink Hi C and eat sticklets? well then i need some too!
@DarkMoonGeneral Of course bro, everything from like the 60s-mid to late 90′s were great. Then somewhere between the late 90s and now we seemed to have messed up biggg and it sucks so much that we come online to look at how awesome they were lol. If you look close you can even see some fashion from the 80s are even coming back.
The 80s were totally awesome. I mean I think someone already said this, but now all they have is weight commercials all the time, victoria secret , an pills… these times like 80s and so forth) Are a reminder how good of a time the 80s were.
@abcstardust
I couldnt agree more, esp with the Wrestling thing:)
