Voodoo 5 6000
Best voodoo ever made but only to prototype stage, owned gfx cards 1-2years after when this prototype version were released. This card never successed to production, because nvidia bought 3dfx.
@Suprnovo3 Today Voodoo is just collector items, i’m not using voodoo for extreme gaming, but sometimes it’s fun to try some newest game on vintage PC with voodoo cards, to see „can it play ?“ or not

in other site, i see people try to force voodoo 6000 to play DOOM 3 (of course with many tweaks)
Wait, no PCI-e support if they had a V5. Scratch that, and throw your entire PC instead.

@Suprnovo3 with some tweak, you can make some 3D DX9 game into DX7 even DX6.
as long as the game itself doesn’t require „monster hardware“ i think retro Voodoo can play it, i see videos on youtube that some people run FEAR on Voodoo card.
@declaration963 Having in mind it doesn’t even support DirectX 9…I doubt it.
Except Minecraft, of course
I bet this voodoo graphic card can run some nowadays 3d games (not Crysis 2 or Battlefield Bad Company 2) but maybe 3D gamehouse or something like that.

I too own one of those, it’s a 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 AGP Rev 3700 bought it off eBay years ago still work, so I won’t doubt other have that card to, but for only $200, I paid $1200 back then for it.

@voogun u cant have that card cause they made only prototypes from it cause 3dfx went bankdrupt so it never went into production. Probably u have voodoo 5 5500 card.
I have this card…i payed over $200 for it at the moment it came out…it was sweet…but now Even my PS3 can out performe it…sorry 3dfx….but i still love you,you gave me some of the best pc gaming in my life….(back then)

I still wonder what would happen if 3dfx hadn’t gone bankrupt. That would make things a lot more interesting.

they are not GPU’s they are rasterizers lol, Quantum3D AALchemy 8164 has 8 VSA-100 rasterizers each with 64MB 5.4ns SDRAM , twice the amoun to fo Rasterizers and twice the amount of ram per rasterizer rofl.
295GTX and the 5970 dont have as many gpus
