Nicki’s POV: „Nicki?“ „Yeah?“ „Um, could you help me with my geometry homework?“ „Sure.“ I scoot up right next to him so I can see his book. Triangle, easy enough. „What do you need help with?“ „How would you find the measure of this angle?“ he asks pointing his finger. There was a diagram with a lot of triangles in it. Only some of the measures were labeled. „Okay, this is simple, these two angle are vertical angles so they are the same measure. Then you add the two measures together and get 68. Then you subtract that from 180, because all triangles add up to 180, and you get your answer,“ I say pointing out everything along the way. „Okay, um, I have no idea what you just said.“ Idiot. I walk him through the problem at least 5 more times before he actually gets it. „Get it now?“ I ask. „Yeah I think so.“ „Good.“ I scoot back over to my side and place my bio book back into my lap. „Nicki, I ran into another problem.“ „What’s that Justin?“ I ask with a sigh. „I looked at the next question.“ I smack my forehead. I scoot back over to him walking him through the next problem, and the one after that, and the one after that, and the one after that, all the way until we, excuse me, I finished his homework. I go over to my iPod speakers and plug in my iPod. I turn it on and find my playlist titled, ‘For those Days’. Music always makes me feel better when I’m sad. I walk back over to the couch and sit down. The lyrics of the sad songs ring through my ears making memories flood …
