I have used the iPad 2 for a 2 week time period and I have to say i was completely blown away by it. I have never used the original iPad so i can’t compare the 2 products, but I can say that the iPad 2 was the most impressive peice of tech i have ever used. The graphics were incredible (i have a 2G iTouch so….) the raw power was great and the wider market of apps for the system was really quite exciting.
The one and only downside being the battery, which, if not plugged in, is pretty poor.

I had high hopes for the Sherlock Holmes adaptations but they just turned out to be another big budget poorly written script with tons of fighting to keep the audience satisfied instead of making them think.Yes, Sherlock Holmes was originally for that. For Christs sake Holmes and Watson have the relationship found in BUDDY COP movies. Adler was added to give romance and emotion even though Holmes is a cold intellectual. Why put magic in a plot that deals with 1800s England?

They aren’t my favorite actors that portray Holmes and Watson but I will still go see the movie because the last one wasn’t that bad, it was actually engaging and I thought a lot; much like the books made me do.

Robert Downey Jr’s Character is pretty loyal to the character. Holmes was a mad, drug using, brawling genius of a dectective. I saw a lot of explosions in this trailer and that worries me. I just hope they don’t detract from his detective abilities for the ingnorantly annoying americanized MTV generation. Again I hope they don’t sacrifice story and character for, to get the fleeting attention of the twitter masses.=P. Another good series worth looking into is Poirot with David Suchet.
Noomi Rapace! It’s going to be great! So excited to see her in any film. Plus, the guys are always hilarious.

Actually the new line by Guy Ritchie inherits a lot more original content from the actual novellas, novels and short stories than any other adaption I’ve seen so far. Sure it’s a blockbuster but who cares, it’s got great characters ( especially Watson who, for the first time, doesn’t seem like a dog on a leash), fantastic pictures and the proper background. I agree that the scripts aren’t the best but still.
