    Most of those game developers were participating in a promotion where game developers could actually get a free playbook for submitting their game. Those free playbooks all ship on the 22nd, which means most of the developers will be receiving them soon. Once they are actually able to TEST their games before publishing them, I expect the quality to get much higher. :P

    And again – most games are running very smoothly already. It’s unfortunate that he picked Cave Run to demo. ><

    @kenwkto It’s worth mentioning that many AIR apps are running beautifully on the Playbook. However, many of the people who developed these games were essentially flying blind – developing games without having any way to test performance on the device.

    @kenwkto The developer has emailed us and let me know that an update is on the way. They didn’t have a device to test the game on and ran into some unseen bugs.

    @saquibs20 I believe Cave Run was an AIR app. However, it’s worth mentioning that all of the AIR apps currently on the market were developed without any way to test/optimize besides the VMware tool, which didn’t really give an accurate demonstration of performance. I’m actually working with HUS right now to help him optimize the game and get it running smoothly.

    Hey guys, I’m the developer of Cave Run. I was surprise when I saw this video to see that Cave Run runs slow. But we had to develop our app without having a playbook to test them on, so we couldn’t know.

    You can still buy the game, it’s fun to play, and we will release an update as soon as we can to fix the lags.
