These look like Transall C-160′s used by the Luftwaffe that have just landed at Termez airfield, Uzbekistan.

Some interesting defensive positions in the mountains of Afghanistan Here. Notice the long cuts in the hillsides indicating tunnel entrances. A Taliban Camp and The leftovers of Assadalah Abdul Rahman’s Camp to the north of it. Believed to be of been chief for WMD, Al-Qaeda.

Zhawar Kili Al-Badr Base Camp and Zhawar Killi Cave Complex, Afghanistan Location of one of the greatest battle’s to take place during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. The soviets briefly overun the complex before having to retreat. The landscape around here make’s it a natural fortress, virtually impossible to take without heavy losses.
