Day 160 – I had an earlier photo called photonic wings that made use of long exposures and light painting but I was never really happy with it since the wings were kinda just giant bubbles. The wings in this photo make me MUCH happier and it’s another exploration into the B&W medium albeit tinted for dramatic effect. I also LOVE the shadows. 
We reviewed slides until 8:30 this evening and that doesn’t leave much time for creative picture ideas. One week and one day until my big presentation.

160th Basic Police Academy Recruit – Oakland Police Department. I caught
this Recruit stretching before his mid-morning run. I was driving with my
husband, so this was a quick capture in a split second. I saw a bunch of
them right by the police dept. and snapped this shot as we were rolling
through the intersection.
