  1. @sayswai yes :D

  2. @Hollenvaen Yes, i completely understand that. All I’m saying is that we need to step forward and things will advance as new technology is available- to not accept this and think that it’s useless is just ignorant and ridiculous. But how could you say it’s useless? There are of course a few problems and improvements, but all of these things will come- soon enough everything will just be solar powered and very efficient, and we won’t need to use adapters/powermats at all.

  3. @hdkamin This – itself – isn’t the future. It’s awkward, messy, and inconviniant. Wireless charging – sure. But powermats aren’t really the future. They’ve been using this technology on electric toothbrushes for years. At the moment, it’s useless…because you can’t even USE the phone whilst it’s on the matt. However, when one can use it and charge without it even touching the matt, then yeah, it might be the future.

  4. @Hollenvaen Yeah, but traditional chargers don’t have the ease of use that this has… you sound like an old man complaining about technology and doing things the „old fashioned way.“ people need to get with the times and accept new technology for what it is, because this is the future.

  5. @sayswai it has nothing to do with laziness it has to do with new technology. like do you think duracell was like- „OH PEOPLE ARE LAZY SO LET’S MAKE THIS!“ No, they said, look what we can do with technology now and let’s create something that is more efficient and easier than having lots of wires and is easier to manage than lots of chargers, people losing chargers, breaking them, etc. It’s all about efficiency and ease of use.

  6. @LATINRAFFI94 well you could be smart and charge your phone up the night before… or you can just put it on speakerphone while charging it on the powermat or the mygrid… you cant really disagree with the advancement in technology here, people need to get with the times..

  7. @LATINRAFFI94 you can, just use your speakerphone…

  8. They sell special adapters? Wow…if only there was some form of adapter I could plug in, but also use my phone at the same time from the mains…Oh yeah. A plug.

  9. this would be nice for the bedside where i keep my cell phone zune and ps3 controller if it could charge all those

  10. @LATINRAFFI94 but surely if i’m now charging my devices via the powermat then they’d rarely, if ever, be in a position where they’d run out of battery? That being the convenience of charging wirelessly? Or not, just a thought.

  11. I agree that there’s clearly an issue over the correct terminology. Should it be considered ‘consolidation of wires’ instead? As many people here have noted, the Powermat requires a mains connection as its source of power. The thing is, however, that’s where the cables end; if you’re charging multiple units on the same Powermat then you’ll only ever use one cable, thereby in effect reducing cable clutter.

  12. NOW DAYS THIS CELL PHONES THEY COME WITH INTERNET TEXT . BUT THEN AT THE SAME TOKEN I THINK THIS PHONES WOULD HAVE A POWERFUL BATTERY THAT CAN LAST ABOUT 6 OR 7 HOURS OF USE.I HATE CHARGING THIS PHONE EVERY 3 HOURS FOR A 35 OR 40 MINUTES OF USE.POWER MAT OR DURACELL SHOULD GET A BETTER BATTERY.

  13. my USB corb always gets ah fckin shortage !

  14. Looking to get rid of a dozen or so cords with bulky, randomly-shaped adapters–and however many power strips these require–and replacing them with a couple „Powermats“ isn’t laziness–it’s an exercise in clutter-reduction. (Though I suppose it makes the basement-dwellers feel morally superior to blast anyone who finds a use for this is some lazy fat-ass. Too self-absorbed to realize that others might have significant others/families and thus more than a couple devices to charge, perhaps?)

  15. @sayswai its just way cooler not too…. and lazy people like me…. love it hahaha! i dont charge my phone at home now…. i do it on the way to work, lunch and home in my car… haha

  16. @sayswai LOLOL

  17. OH GARSH! I DON’T WANNA PLUG MY PHONES IN! I GUESS ILL JUST MOSEY ONTO THE STORE, SPEND A BUTTLOAD OF MONEY FOR A MAT AND PKUG THAT IN! UHEUGHHEUGH!!

    *sigh*…america, i weep for you…

  18. They say illuminate wires. But the thing itself needs a mains plug……..

  19. I don’t know about this review. You jumped around topics so fast….

  20. anyone stupid enough to waste money on this piece of shit deserves to be ridiculed. lol fuckin retards.

  21. @blueknarf spend about 150$ to eliminate 3 LITTLE cords that for some reason worry you…

  22. @blueknarf Does it actually charge your phone faster???

  23. @LATINRAFFI94 you make a great point. i have a powermat and when the phone is dying i really cant use it.

  24. @sayswai its not being lazy, it all about eliminating cords. i have a power mat that charges up to 3 devices. i have 3 less cords to worry about.

  25. @BigDnm01 agreed.

  26. how fucking stupid. it takes more effort to plug in the adapters then it does it just plug in a charger

  37. It’s a stupid product, aimed fairly and squarely at stupid people.

  38. Lets see, I put the usb thingy in the phone……….then I attach the other thing to the thing I plugged in the usb port on the phone. How is this easier than just plugging the phone in?

    Seems stupid to me.

  39. Wow I new it! So retarded waste off money putting the attachments on is like the time it takes to plug it into the actually charger. Then you have to set it down. Fail Duracell fail. Back to the drawing board for you. Don’t ever making something so stupid ever again!

  49. @KidThatPlaysGuitar5 you become Electro

  50. This is simple induction, so the transmited energy is a wireless is alternating and produces an alternating current in the big disk behind the mobile, whichi in adition has to turn it into direct current which is what bateries produce and require to be charged.

I will have one at home but first two things must happen: nokia must releas a good mobile with the mecanism built inside, so it really is a drop and go affair.

Second my beautiful 2 year old nokia 6500 has to die :-)
