it’s got linux so it can run multiple applications without slowing it … a raving mad lunatic we’ve got there. FYI iOS is UNIX i.e. what Linux is based on. Apple CHOSE to disable the full multitasking to save battery life not because you can’t do it on UNIX … but you are correct WebOS is a magnificent OS.
Apple bought off the discontinuation of the pre. That’s a fact.

Well, it’s been over six months…….iPhone is still standing.
I wonder if these people even know what „multi-touch“ means.
Multi-touch means that you can use a touch-surface with more than one finger, yet the „demonstration“ clearly shows that he only utilizes one finger.

Please this phone isnt the iPhone killer. It looks like a tiny piece of crap. I mean really. The IPhone has a wider screen you can actually see something, I’m sure the volume is better, and for people who have to manage commute, work, and time the iPhone is better! Psh nothing can „kill“ the iPhone

Must be embarrassing to label yourself as an „iPhone killer“ while simultaneously being murdered quite vociferously by the iPhone it’s supposed to be „killing.“

The appstore is too little compared to the iPhone but the main programes are way better. as long as you’re under 16 you will definetly prefer the iPhone. but lets face it: When real life starts, the Palm Pre will be THE smartphone.
Why did anyone say this could be an iPhone killer? I just do see it. I’ve played with one before and I thought it felt like a little crappy piece of plastic.

The hardware was the let down. Seriously, you don’t put enough memory inside the thing for it to function day-to-day? With the $199 the hardware should of been premium. Instead Palm tried to cut corners so it wouldn’t sink. But it did. The new HP Palm phones in real life do hold a more premium feel. Hell, the HP Veer matches the power of an Evo Shift 4G in really small package. I want the Pre 3, but unsure if I’ll get bored with the design.
