Yes you can do gaming… game developers will have to target this new platform but yeah you will be able to game in google chrome. Flash, HTML5 games, as well as google native app games which are written in C++ and use opengl. I’m not a fan of google chrome from what i’ve seen so far, but yes, you will be able to play games.
@devilinajar, Today hardware is more flexible and powerful than software 20 years ago. Formely people wrote their programs on ASM which was only ADD, DIV, CMP, JMP, etc… Today we have got SoC (System on Chip) and today low-level languages looks like very sophisticated high-level software in the past… If you wanna play with software take JavaScript(or something like this) and the Knuth’s Bible…
Besides C++ will be alive at least 100 years and maybe even much more…

To get everything very fast just connect the first time and for upgrading to the fast connection after that it will just compare versions in cache and on the Internet. That’s it.

So what happens if I have slow WiFi? Contrary to most advance countries, the internet speed is NOT so fast in my country and we have to compete with around 30 ppl in cafe for WiFi, does it still load as fast with programs like text editor, graphic editor, etc etc?

So no: real games, offline programs, OFFLINE PERIOD, reading discs, sacred local info or data stored on a drive, or antivirus software. And I don’t care if it takes 3 minutes to boot (HOW HORRIBLE) I want my Minecraft.
