Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 OtterBox Commuter Case @DayDeal_com Review
It’s a shame there are no other Otterbox cases released for the Samsung Galaxy S II i9100. The Commuter is a well constructed, slim and protective cover that really works with the dimensions of the i9100 without feeling like it’s burdening the phone. An included screen protector helps round out the case and helps make it a complete package. Without any direct competition both from itself (Otterbox) and other brand names – we would recommend the Commuter to any i9100 by default.

With all of the new features the iPhone® 4 has to offer, you definitely want to protect it. The OtterBox Commuter Series case for iPhone 4 is what you need. With three layers of protection (including a self-adhering screen protector), worrying about scratches, bumps and shocks will be completely unnecessary. Nothing beats OtterBox cases when it comes to quality and toughness. To find it: www.otterbox.com
@audioexcels
Otterbox has an official specifications sheet for this case which has its weight for it.
It weighs 1.21oz / 34.47g
The i9100 weighs 4.09oz / 116g
The math comes out to the phone being about 30% heavier. Hope that helps!
How much heavier does the phone feel with the Otterbox vs. using something more low profile for a case? I absolutely LOVE how this looks so ideally would be nice to have it…but if it literally doubles the weight or feels quite a heft, may not be worth it for me. Any comments on weight would be great. Appreciate it!
Excellent review. Sadly, this is not available (yet?) for the Sprint version (Epic 4G Touch)
@xxTIGER43xx
That’s tough to say – I would honestly still wait for the official release. If you head on over to Case-mate’s website, they already have a new section up for AT&T products (i777) and so far it’s only one item.
If all the i9100 cases fit the i777 nicely or easily, then they would of sold them right away for early market profit. Since they haven’t done so is proof enough for us they know it’s not a good fit overall.
@DayDealOnDisplay thnx ya im really of need of a case do u think the case mate tough case will fit on the i777?
@xxTIGER43xx
The AT&T version of the S2 (i777) is relatively new at this point in time, so if you can just wait a bit you will soon see a lot of accessories specifically made for it be released. Any website that carries cell phone accessories will start stocking cases (like our own at DayDeal) since it’s a popular phone – so just sit tight.
If you really want to try and use the i9100 version now, you can purchase it from us at DayDeal or simply head to Otterbox’s main site to buy.
ive been told this is capable wid the att version galaxy s2 is it tru im lookin for a case for my galaxy s2 but its just hard to find a hard case any websites u can help me out wid to help me out wid my search?

Great review!
You can buy authentic Otterbox iPhone 4 4S Case at iGearUSA.com
iPhone 4 Commuter and Reflex Series cases will fit the White version. So will all of the new iPhone 4S cases.
Will this fit white?!?
@minimik12 Our cases will protect your device from most falls, bumps and bruises.
i recently dropped my iPhone flat on concrete and shattered the screen. After i did this i bought this case in hopes it will protect it from this damage again. Will it?
@UFCMexicanFighter1 The price on our website is USD $34.95.
@UFCMexicanFighter1 Hi there. We do have a black/white commuter Series case for the iPhone 4, it is available now on our website!
I saw on the best buy website that the black and white one from the commuter series Is 22$ is this right/true
@OtterBoxTv do u stop making cases for that series because I really want a black and white case from the commuter series but it is not the most recent series PLEAZE answer
I think I’m gonna get the defender just because I HATE installing screen shields.
@OtterBoxTV Will I be charged shipping for another screen protector? I tried to retrieve the one from my old iPhone 4 and put it on my new one, but it had many finger prints and too much dust which wouldn’t let it settle on the screen. Thanks for your time.
@95paintballer
you should of got a white Iphone. it would look better with it.
Just ordered white and black for my black iphone!
@eraythecomputerguy Please give our customer service Otters a call at 888.695.8820 so they can troubleshoot with you!
the hard piece for my iphone 4 wont snap into place and i tried taking it off and everything!!!
At first I thought this was the stupidest phone case ever. Then I looked at it and I thought WOW this is a really thought out case and I will definitly buy. The reflex is thought out too but the tpe cuts easy.
@OtterBoxTV Is there any holders for commuter series if i want to attach it to my bike?
@Astro247z The Commuter Series case will work with the white iPhone. With the white iPhone, there was a slight hardware change which affected some cases but not others. Our Reflex Series and Commuter Series cases can both be used with the white version!
I already had this on my iphone but took it off… btw does this work with white Iphone 4? and whats the difference with black and white expect the color?
you need some better light in that place, i cant see shiit
I feel like a moron, but I apparently missed a piece of dust on my screen, and then it got stuck to the screen protector while applying it… and in trying to clean it off, it’s making the problem exponentially worse. Fortunately, it sounds like Otterbox will be sending me a replacement. Just the screen protector; I would hope they wouldn’t send out a whole new case.
@OwMyHip I would give our customer support Otters a call at 888.695.8820 for troubleshooting here, usually these come off pretty easily and the tape trick works for any resistant screen protectors… they may have some other suggestions for you though!
I’m trying to remove this screen protector but not having any luck. Anyone have any tips? The tape thing won’t work btw.
@gemmyfreak2871 Unfortunately there are so many third party accessories out there, it is impossible to test our cases to them all. Our cases accommodate most standard headphone jacks, but we recommend testing against your specific pair
@OtterBoxTV will my Beats by Dr. Dre headphones work with this case?
