@gatler05 ya but theyve come down in price quite a bit, i7 930 is 199 at microcenter. uhm depending on what all youre going to put in the system i cant specify the wattage but get a power supply from corsair or pc power and cooling. i have the corsair 750w and its a beast. those 2 companies make really high end high quality power supply’s

For other things like my wife :p, and haha true man I do do video editing also with vegas and after effects, hmm I will try to get a i7 930 and x58 during this month. What power supply you suggest.
@gatler05 look if dont have the money and are happy with the performance you are getting, fine, but building a semi high end pc now on socket 775 is really dumb, and plus if youre like me who does video edting as well as gaming, the i7 comes in handy
This board is still amazing to date, fuck wasting money on other boards. Just stick to the old quad cores fuck I7 and ramage 2 and bull shit exspensive stuff. We all dont have that kind of money, come on admit it.

Need some help/ I hav a EVGA 780i SLI. P4-4.3g, 4g mem. The nVidia ctrl panel & „TUNE“ feature wont work. Keeps saying „;only for nforce 2.0 and up“. Is this is is it not an nforce 2.0? the sys props in cpuz show the mobo as 2.0. I assumed it is what they mean. If anyone wants to yhelp meOC thsi thing, feel free to contact me. thanks
@supemysteryguitarist I never used the EVGA 780i though. I read too many faults about it on newegg when they were a big deal so I bought a Zotac one. Zotac 780i Supreme was pretty good for the 775 socket. I stepped it up to a core i7 (875) processor now with the EVGA P55 FTW motherboard now and its pretty sweet.
@chevelletrixter72 ME TOO!! Yeah, I 4got 2mention that – NO MANUAL FROM TG!!! Luckily I have about a million computers in my house so I could Dload the PDF. Cust svc is always there @EVGA but sometimes they seem educated & sometimes they dont seem to know WHAT they’re talking about. I’ve talk to them honestly about 50+ times. I’m real pissed about my experience. They sed the odds were astronomical for 4 MOBO’s 2goBad on me. I beg to differ bcause it did hapn. But I“m curntly hapy with my 780i
@SlyNicolai Yes, it really does rock! I’m impressed. I just hope it doesn’t die like the other 4 680i’s I got b4 this one did. I even assmbled them outside the case to be safe. Brand new everything. I even boutght all new mem, cpu, etc for the 4th one and it still died. BUT I’m running the 780i NOW and I like it. BUT the freakin CTRL Panel and SYS MOn are troublesome. IT keeps saying „Only Works For nForce2 and above“. The „Tune feature’s prgrees bar goes to top & stops. I’m reformating.

@steven4570 You may be right about this. I bought the 680ii about a year ago and Iit came w/no software or fan. The pkg just clear plastic in a cardboard box. EVGA sent the fan later.Aftr a simple asembly, I was impresed -BUT an hr latr it died.They exchanged it -them I read at TigerDirect that said „refurbshed“THE NEXT one died after 3 days.Then ANOTHER1 BURNED OUT! 4 boards IN TOTAL and 1year later they ugraded me to the 780i .Afraid 2asemble it. I finaly did2daysAgo-it runs great. for now.

Dude you got the 780i Supreme Zotac?
That board fucking rocks. I accidentally overclocked my Zotac 780i too high and melted something on the motherboard but that mobo is the shit. I bought a ASUS Striker 2 Formula and its a fucking nightmare. It keeps freezing up like every 10 minutes because you have to have the memory or something set just right. Fucking lame. I would of bought another Zotac 780i but I cant find any sellers and they are all sold out by everyone.
